Welcome back to our Royals Inspired series. The Sussexes are our inspiration but not associated with the content. We just like living vicariously through them!
Meghan Markle has been giving us a sneak peek inside of her Montecito mansion through multiple Zoom interviews! From what we can tell, she loves neutral colors, stacks of books and florals. Her surroundings are very peaceful and organized. With recent visuals in mind, we chose some of our favorite pieces at ARTSUGAR to decorate Prince Harry and Meghan’s new home.
Meghan is a total yogi so you will definitely find a yoga mat (or three) throughout her home. In May of 2016, she told Best Health Magazine , “Yoga is my thing. My mom is a yoga instructor, and I started doing mommy-and-me yoga with her when I was seven. I was very resistant as a kid, but she said, ‘Flower, you will find your practice – just give it time.’ In college, I started doing it more regularly.” That is why we love this ARTSUGAR yoga mat ($79) that says AUGUST BABY. (Meghan’s birthday is August 4th.)
The Hamptons Collection Bridge Tray ($95) reminds us of some of the old fun wallpaper you see as you tour antique castles throughout Europe. It makes me want to curl up with Pride and Prejudice . It might just give Harry a happy reminder of home. At 12×12, it’s the perfect tray for Meghan and Harry to enjoy drinks by the pool with Meghan’s Mom. Or Oprah.
Speaking of drinks by the pool, this Betsy Enzensberger piece ($350) titled “Poptails” is the perfect cheeky decoration for the pool side bar Harry is rumored to want to build. According to US Weekly , the Sussexes are already planning renovations. To compliment the home’s wine cellar, Prince Harry wants to build a custom bar outdoors. “He’s talking about building a tasteful drinking area by the pool.” We’ll take a poptail with a twist, Harry!
“White Diamond” by Angie Crabtree ($150) is one of our absolute favorite pieces on ARTSUGAR. Angie’s premium acrylic gem prints come in multiple colors. She has painted these unique gemstones since 2012. White seems to go with Meghan’s delicate color scheme but perhaps she would choose an emerald since it’s Archie’s birthstone.
Last but not least is The Neeshe Illustrator’s Yellow Valentino Dress ($175). The colors are so Meghan and we can see this piece in her closet or powder room. (She’s got 16 bathrooms, y’all.) Of the painting, the artist says, “[Valentino] uses color in the most extraordinary way; not only are the couture gowns breathtakingly stunning in their own right with bold colors and voluminous silhouettes, but everything from the diverse model choices, to the intricate venues, create a spell-bounding show-stopping theatrical experience unlike any other.”
Fun fact: ARTSUGAR donates a portion of proceeds to one of their pre-vetted charitable partners.
