LOCAL NYC ARTISTS GIVING BACK WITH ‘PORTRAITS FOR GOOD’
A few years ago local artist, Alix Greenberg, realized that, while artists have long stood for important causes, they’ve lacked a way to directly impact the causes that mattered to them most. She created Portraits for Good; a unique project that donates proceeds from every purchase to a non-profit of the purchaser’s choice. Since launching the site, they have helped support organizations like Doctors Without Borders, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and the ASPCA.
Each artist creates original art or limited edition prints that showcase their unique artistic style. They can also work one-on-one with you to find the perfect gift for the person in mind. They even take commissioned requests. The site is as easy as selecting a piece of art (or commission a custom work), choosing a non-profit, and waiting for your framed artwork to come in the mail, ready to hang!
