ArtSugar X City Kiddies

ArtSugar X City Kiddies

Hi everyone! My name is Olivia Beaton and I’m the founder of City Kiddies, a weekly newsletter that makes it easy for busy parents to find fun and enriching activities for their families around NYC. I also have two children of my own, a toddler Max and a newborn baby girl, Sasha. I decorated my first nursery two years ago when my son was just born, and am now in the process of designing new rooms for both my kids. I absolutely love creating spaces that don’t feel too babyish (sorry, no ABC posters here!), and are sophisticated enough that children can grow into them over time. Beautiful art is a huge part of that, which is why I’m so excited to be partnering with ArtSugar to give you my picks for kids’ rooms.

Jessie Rubin, To Paris- I love the soft colors of this piece and the message which is all about love. I’d buy a large version and put it above the changing table in a girls’ nursery.

Michael Turchin, Bluebeary- Animal prints can feel really cliche in a nursery, but this one is much edgier which is why I’m a fan (plus I’m obsessed with gummy bears).

Dara Piken, Nantucket Bursts- There’s nothing I love more than a gallery wall, and you can’t go wrong with any of these fabulous Starburst prints from Dara Piken. It’d do four prints in warmer colors like oranges, reds and pinks for a girls’ rooms and cooler colors like blues and greens for a boys’ room. Also I love candy in children's rooms if you haven't noticed that already!

Courtney Jentzen, Sunnies- I’m not sure why I’m drawn to this print in particular, but it’s super cute and fun. I could see it going perfectly in a boys’ room.

We're so excited to be partnering with Olivia and City Kiddies, the trusted, well-curated resource that makes it easy for busy moms in NYC to find fun, unique and enriching activities for their little ones in a world of too much choice!
